When blogger babe Donna invited me to come wine and dine with her and other blogger babe Kimberly, how could I refuse? Good company, food, and wine? I'm so there! We met at the Calivino Wine Pub in Anaheim located near Angel Stadium for some much needed catch up on each others' lives and to share support and love. I liked the almost rustic meets modern feel of the wine pub, and it was packed, we were situated in this nice corner in the back with plush seating! Come to find out that it was trivia night at Calivino and the participants were very enthusiastic about it, the girls and I didn't fully partake in the trivia game but we followed along. We started off with, naturally, a glass of wine, and appetizers which included Bacon Dates (with goat cheese and honey), Brussels Sprouts (honey roasted and served with pork belly bits), and the Cheese Platter (three cheeses and assorted additions such as nuts, cranberries, olives, and crostinis).  For the main course we split the Lamb Burger (with mint, garlic, onion jam, and gremolata yogurt), and for dessert, the Chocolate Lava Cake (and the best I've ever had too). Our waiter and the manager Daniel made sure that our wine and meal was to our linking; and I loved the atmosphere and energy of the place. Urban Decay's First Flagship Store Now Open at Fashion Island, Newport Beach

Stop by the first UD Stand-Alone Storefront

Urban Decay celebrated the grand opening of their first flagship store at the Fashion Island Shopping Center in Newport Beach with a posh soiree featuring specialty cocktails and scrumptious cupcakes, mini makeovers, plush seating and floral arrangements, and an awesome photo booth. I loved being able to peruse through UD faves like the Naked Palettes and pigmented eye shadows; as well as new products like the VICE3 Palette (which I got to take home with many other goodies I can't wait to play with) and 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils. I even got a daring dark, navy sparkly lip application by makeup artist Michael, and photo booth-ed it up with fellow blogger babes. Happy Thanksgiving 2014

Whether life throws me for a loop or showers me with one accomplishment after another, I am so blessed to be able to live this life and learn from every situation. This year has been tougher than most even if I didn't see it at first, but I am so thankful and blessed for all the opportunities and relationships that have come my way. Some doors are closing, many others opening and I can't wait to see what the new year has in store. In the meantime, I will be thoroughly enjoying this holiday season; seeing and spending more time with friends and loved ones, lots of peppermint mochas and hot cocoas, festive crafting, ice skating, and much more merry doings. Also, is anyone taking part in Black Friday sales? If so, which ones? HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Girls Wine Night Look with Gena Myint/Serene Sky

I got together with blogger babes Donna and Kimberly for a girls wine night at Calivino Wine Pub in Anaheim a couple weeks ago. It was much needed girl time since we all had been so busy the last few months and wanted to be able to catch up, and the good food and wine...major plus! For my outfit, I wanted to mix textures, and did so in this look with the cashmere sweater over the silk slip dress. I gave the outfit a bit more embellishment with a statement necklace and strappy white heels.

Costa Mesa Nekter Juice Bar now Re-Opened!

Nekter Juice Bar's much anticipated Costa Mesa location's grand re-opening was a hit during it's Black & White themed party. Guests enjoyed the launch of Nekter Food, an exciting addition to their menu, a silhouette artist and photo booth, Blue Ice Vodka cocktails and One Hope Wine Champagne infused with Nekter juice, and live entertainment. This location is the first store out of 44 locations; and has been completely re-imagined and doubled in size, with new artwork and refreshing face lift. Can't wait to go back for more juice, smoothies, bowls, and bites!
