Valley High + Honey N Silk at Coachella

Clothing label Valley High and fashion blogger Stephanie Liu teamed up to host Valley High Presents #HoneyNFriends a Coachella pre-game event at a house in Palm Springs this past weekend. Attendees enjoyed the sunshine; poolside lounging; refreshing VOCO vodka coconut water and munchies, an amazing gifting suite including swag from Valley High, My Jewel Bar, KITSCH, Goldenfaden MD, and Keratin Complex; and a preview of the most current Valley High collection. Utility Vest & Denim Outfit at Red Rock Canyon

Scott and I ventured to Vegas for a mini spring break trip and during our stay, we stopped by Red Rock Canyon which is a mere 17 miles west, a 25-30 minute drive from where we were staying on the Las Vegas strip.  The majestic red rock formations and nature surrounding us was a pleasant and peaceful removal from the bright lights, entertainment overload, and casino hustle and bustle of the strip. My 'mountainess', nature-seeking inspired look featured a utility vest, denim blouse, and wide-fedora hat. Ballerina Skirt for Spring

I tapped into my ultra feminine side and ballerina days with this spring inspired outfit. Although the season officially turns into Spring this Friday, so cal has been experiencing unbelievably hot weather. To ease the frustration of the heat wave without walking around in a bikini to cool off, I styled this lightweight blouse with a colorful, a-line pleated skirt and pulled my hair up into a bun. I had a full day of events last Thursday wearing this outfit; a blogger lunch, store opening walk through, and two store events; so this look was perfect to take from day to night. Tartan Remix

While checking out the RARE by Goodwill store in Anaheim, I stumbled across this classic tartan printed pleated skirt (totally Clueless vibes, just need a matching jacket) that I had to have, so I tried it on and it fit perfectly so I brought it home with me. It had an oversized safety pin at the bottom of the skirt giving it an edgier, 'punk-rock' look, so I styled it with a crop top and faux leather jacket. To complete my homage to the 90s grunge era with my twist on it, I had Dee of Swell Beauty do this awesome faux hawk braid ponytail hair style on me (check out the tutorial here) as well as add a red lip, and I wore a cherry necklace from Katy Perry's Eat Your Heart Out collection at Claire's and my fave silver mesh sunnies from ZeroUV. Happy Weekend Lovelies!
