Urban Outfitters Winter Accessories

I may be in Southern California, but it has been one of the chilliest winters with high winds, rain, and even snow; and thanks to discount shopping app Shopular, I got the tip that one of my fave shops Urban Outfitters is having an amazing winter sale in-store and online. Shoppers can take advantage of 30% off select jeans, sweaters, jackets, and winter accessories until Monday January 5th. Here are my top five winter accessory picks to bundle up against this frosty air.
I don't get to wear gloves often, but actually have quite a collection of glove styles. I love these Leather + (Faux) Fur Elbow Gloves that have an elegant touch to them, and not only will keep my hands warm but my forearms as well. I like that the gloves can be worn casually with jeans, a sweater, and cocoon or oversized coat and scarf; or with a more formal look such as with a satin dress and matching coat or balero jacket(I'm imagining Carrie Bradshaw in her Oscar de la Renta hot pink dress with tux-like balero jacket that she received from 'The Russian'). The gloves were originally $98 and are now $37.49 (WHAT?! unreal)I'm totally drooling over the blanket/poncho draped look and just love how this Colorblock Triangle Blanket Poncho looks effortless when worn and the black and white knit makes it a versatile wardrobe piece. Originally $49, it is now $22.49.I have an affinity for fur pieces; I don't buy new fur but do collect and have a couple vintage fur pieces. This faux fur stole is vegan friendly and comes in a few colors. I like how luxe it looks and can be easily thrown over any look, especially a leather or faux leather jacket. Get the Fur Collar Scarf for $30.80, originally $44. Again, back to the blanket/poncho style but this one is different with the print and hood detail. This Oversized Patterned Hooded Open Poncho is more lightweight and easy to layer; and will therefore serve well as a year round piece in Orange County. Originally $59, it is now $41.30. I just adore how soft this beanie looks, so much so that I might want to cuddle with it more than wear it. This Fuzzy Beanie is giving me snow bunny vibes even if I'm not on the slopes, it's available in 6 different colors and you can get it for $14, originally $29.

Shopular's Black Friday Survival Kit

I was so excited to dive right into my Black Friday Survival Kit provided by mobile deals and coupons app, Shopular; as I usually don't partake in Black Friday shopping, but this kit will prepare me for one of the biggest shopping days weekends of the year. Along with the kit, I had downloaded Shopular onto my phone and it is an amazing resource to see which stores and brands are hosting Black Friday promotions (some sales have already commenced) and I can even filter the sales by mall, which is great if I want to organize a shopping game plan. This app is used by 2 million users, and if you haven't downloaded it yet, do so to get your insider scoop on sales, deals, and coupon codes for your favorite retailers, cafes and small eateries. Check out Shopular on Facebook | Twitter | Instagram. Along with a Shopular Reusable Shopper Bag and a Stress Ball, here's what's included in the Black Friday Kit and how it will come in handy during and or post shopping mayham:

1. VerMints Mints- I do not want turkey breath or any remnants of a Thanksgiving dinner and leftovers on my breath while black Friday shopping (although that may scare away any customers from sale items I'm trying to snag, I want to save myself from any embarrassing mouth odors). These VerMints are organic, gluten-free, non-GMO, nut-free, AND kosher mints. Plus, they come in a cute tin!

2. Foot Petals Feet Insoles- I know these insoles will come in handy when wearing heels, but in the case of Black Friday shopping, I will most likely opt to wear flats or boots. Nevertheless, Foot Petals' Feet Insoles will still be beneficial to my shopping experience by giving my feet (no matter what kind of shoe) that extra cushion and comfort. These cushions are made from PORON which repels moisture, bacteria, and odor.

3. Dearfoams Slippers- I love a good slipper, and these Dearfoams Slippers will be PERFECT for winding down post shopping frenzy and keep my toesies comfy cozy. The sequin detail and sweater knit fabric is sparkly cute for the holidays, and my feet will be walking on cloud 9 with the ultra cushy insole.

4. Cosmetic Boulevard Coffee Scrub- My feet will be thanking me for wearing the Dearfoams Slippers post shopping, my body will thank me after I give it good R&R by exfoliating with this coffee scrub. This scrub in particular is specifically formulated to actively target cellulite, stretch marks, acne & eczema with caffeine from only the best Robust beans. Blended together with highly moisturizing, regenerating & exfoliating oils & salts. I'm loving the cute sparkling packaging as well!

5. Quest Nutrition Energy Bars- I'm definitely going to need that protein pick me up during shopping and the day following shopping. These energy bars in cookies & cream and chocolate chip cookie dough will give me the perfect boost of energy and alertness.

6. Crazy Rumors Lip Balm- I for one get crazy chapped lips to the point where it looks like I've been wandering the desert for days; thank goodness I have this lip balm to keep my lips moisturized at all times. The peppermint flavor puts me right in the holiday spirit and geared up for shopping, and also makes my lips buttery smooth.

7. Simbi Haiti Hair Ties- These hair ties can first be worn as fab bracelets, and if the shopping starts to get heated with having to jump on certain items that I want, I can easily tie my hair up. Love the personality and color pop they add to my hair. Simbi Haiti hairties and headbands are handmade in Haiti; each hair tie/band sold help keep Haitians employed and also contribute towards raising money to install water filtration systems throughout the country.
