Headshots & Portfolio Work by Renee Rogers

I'm off to LA Fashion Council A/W 15 Collection Showings in DTLA and can't wait to share my coverage, but in the meantime, follow my adventures on Instagram | Twitter | Facebook. Before heading out to La La Land, I wanted to share how my dear friend Renee Rogers is an amazing artist; she not only is the designer for 16th Colony, a style blogger for Hanger Shortage, but a phenomenal photographer and filmmaker. We had run into each other at a couple local blogger events, but finally got the chance to connect over coffee and it has been a creative romance ever since. I am addicted to her carefree, but chic style; she is beyond supportive of all my endeavors, and inspiring on so many levels that I push myself harder to achieve my wildest dreams. You can see our collaborations here, and these headshots and other snaps below are what she photographed for my modeling portfolio since I have decided to pursue modeling. I wanted a more down to earth, personal feel with my photos and Renee captured just that; book her for all your photo and video needs:

16th Colony's The Skylark Poncho in Goddess of Mystery
16th Colony's The Skylark Poncho is one of my faves due to the softness, pretty layers, and I'm just head over heels about that fringe detail! For this Joshua Tree shoot, it was styled over a voluminous chiffon maxi dress and with a very dark and mysterious make up look. See more photos from the shoot here and outfit details below:

1 Wedding Gown - 3 Ways on OC Style Report
Happy Friday everyone! I am so thrilled to share that OC Style Report published a wedding restyle series: One Wedding Gown Three Ways a few days ago as apart of the publication's recently launched wedding/bridal style section. I wore a stunning Casablanca Bridal blush pink mermaid gown with an exquisite lace overlay and it was styled by Rachael & Katie three different ways: floral queen, modern mod, and vintage glamour; accessorized by What a Betty hair pieces and sashes, Kash Crystals jewelry, Bleubelle Floral bouquets and head wreaths; with hair and make up by Dee and Assistant Elisa of Swell Beauty; and photography by Shawna of Bleudog Fotography at the Dana Point Yacht Club. Which look is your fave?FLORAL QUEEN // With the popularity of floral wreath crowns on the rise, we had to give it a go with this look. The dress was kept as is to showcase the enormous roses, ivy leaves, and other delicate foliage that crowned my head of curls. Of course I donned a bouquet just as much of a statement as my floral crown, and showed off sparkle from the earrings and bracelet. I felt like an almost ethereal floral fairy princess in this entire look, definitely a romantic wedding look.

VINTAGE GLAMOUR // There's an almost mysterious essence and poise to this vintage-inspired wedding look featuring a prominent 'roaring 20s'-like finger wave hair style pulled back into a simple pony tail embellished with a statement feather and broach hairpiece. The sparkle was carried throughout the look with drop earrings and a beautifully beaded sash.

MODERN MOD // The iconic 'mod' girl look was given an update and wedding twist with this look. I especially liked the white eyeliner detail and hairstyle that featured a pretty dainty comb. This is a look that I haven't generally gotten to embody or try so it was quite exciting to do so in bridal form.

16th Colony's The Rhiannon Poncho in Goddess of Mystery
This is the third look of the Goddess of Mystery shoot I did with Renee Rogers at Joshua Tree National Park. It's one of my favorites due to the dramatic make up and headpiece, as well as the mixing of the burgundy gown and The Rhiannon Poncho. Dee of Swell Beauty did a great job at creating this wild, naturalistic look with the hair and make up; it transformed me into a creature of the desert. The dress was a beautiful contrast against the backdrop of the shades of sand and beige hues and pops of green; and complemented the print of the poncho well.
