Make Bold Moves with Casual 4 A Cause

Leading ladies Taylor and Jenny from Casual 4 a Cause recently launched their first real production run of shirts which I got to proudly wear and you can learn more about C4C and how to get your own 'Make Bold Moves' t-shirt on their an amazing kickstarter campaign. I met these lovely ladies awhile back at the Great Over Good brunch I co-hosted in October and it has been a treat to get to see how much Casual 4 a Cause has grown and where this awesome company will go. I styled my 'Make Bold Moves' t-shirt with a hat, booties, and denim-washed shorts with a aqua shirt tied around my waist to pull in the color of the t-shirt print. How would you style this 'Make Bold Moves' t-shirt? Thank you to Shawna of Bleudog Fotography for shooting this look!

The first design was painted in watercolor by Casual 4 a Cause artist Jessie from Soulmade Goods, that canvas artwork was then transferred onto the shirts. All C4C t-shirts are cut, sewn, dyed and printed right here in Southern California with premium, organic fabrics.

With each t-shirt sold, Casual 4 a Cause will donate $4 to their BElieve in YOUrself Foundation which helps women follow their dreams of being an entrepreneur; whether that is learning a new skill or helping them thrive with an established business. In order to be chosen as a grant recipient, potential awardees will be required to submit an application outlining what they plan on using funds for and what their expected timeline and results will be. After the submission deadline, a committee of women entrepreneurs from varying fields, along with the co-founders of casual 4 a cause will review each application and select the winner.will provide micro-grants to women entrepreneurs. Stella Proseyn FW15 at LA Fashion Council Collection Showings

LA designer Debbie Talanian is the queen of minimalist lines and textiles; this season for her Stella Proseyn Fall 2015 Collection shown at LA Fashion Council, Makercity LA, Talanian presented a line up of military green hues, lace overlays, boxy jackets and tops, tailored slacks, and a very bold and almost reptilian fabric which is a slight departure from what I've seen in past Stella Proseyn collections.

Talanian got her inspiration through fabrics and let them lead her collection. There was a focus on attainable beauty and everyday luxury, and fabrics that feel good and look good. Silhouettes were clean, minimal, and still relevant without being trendy. The pieces were designed to be ones a woman can keep in her wardrobe season after season, and were all designed and produced in LA.

Lace Duster & Bralette for Coachella

It's almost the weekend! Here's the third look of my 2015 Coachella Style Series, featuring a blush pink lace bralette and cream floral lace duster. I paired both with high-waisted denim shorts and camel colored riding-style boots with a peek of dainty knee high socks. This outfit has a romantic, country feel to it; but still fitting for Coachella with a bit more skin showing an a gypsy/boho-like belt. As always, this series was shot by photographer Shawna of Bleudog Fotography. Stay tuned for a DIY vibrant floral crown and how it looks with this outfit!

Coachella Wide Fedora and Poncho Style

Hope you're having a great Wednesday so far! Here's the second look of my Coachella Style Series for 2015 shot by Shawna of Bleudog Fotography. I used the lace kimono and bralette from the last look layered underneath a yummy striped poncho. This look is my take on desert nomad meets bohemian babe; hence all of the various layers and the oversized fedora hat, with the entire look tied together with the AMAZING zinc belt. The poncho can easily be worn over any look belted or unbelted; and this is definitely a cozier, warmer look, perhaps to be worn later in the evening when it gets chilly on the festival grounds. I also have a huge surprise, hop on over to my instagram feed to see what it is!

16th Colony's Spring Trunk Show at Swell Beauty, Laguna Beach

Renee Rogers and I only just modeled in this shoot this past Monday morning for her line, 16th Colony and she already sent me photos yesterday. We went on location at this rad place, Sunken City in San Pedro, CA; where big slabs of concrete covered in graffiti art which used to be the foundation of houses were strewn all over the cliff side near the ocean. Hair and makeup was done by Dee of Swell Beauty of course and jewelry from Raptor Jewelry. Seriously, every time the three of us get together, it's pure magic; this time we shot an editorial for the 16th Colony Spring 2015 Collection 'Enigma' and some of the images were used in promotion for an upcoming event. If you're in the area, I hope to see you there; see the details on the flyer above. Stay tuned for more photos of each look (along with a promo shopping code), and shop the collection here.
