Linden SS15 'Refresh' Collection at LA Fashion Council, Maker City LA

Linden presented 'Refresh', a casual cool collection of reinvented button down sleeveless tops and dresses, as well as breezy blouses, shorts, and other closet staples in interesting washes and intricate braid and twist-back details. Linden is an eco-friendly brand by striving to maintain a low carbon footprint through minimalistic, yet fashion forward designs. The brand seeks out textiles that are environmentally sound and also considers both the impact to make the materials, as well as the impact these materials have on the planet once they are no longer a part of your wardrobe.
I enjoyed seeing how design elements such as the tie dye print, bleach splattered patterns, and cut out/braid back details carried throughout the collection. This line is quintessential California cool lifestyle, easily can be worn on the urban streets of LA to the sandy boardwalk of Venice Beach. Read more about the inspiration and creating process behind Linden designer Jen's Spring/Summer 15 collection:
Linden Spring 2015 Refresh collection was inspired by a summer storm. Obviously we haven't had enough rain in the last several years, considering we are experiencing an epic drought in California. When it does rain, and we've had a few brief storms, I only want to be outside, soaking it in, literally and figuratively. While it washes away the pollution from the air and the ground, it also washes away my negativity, my doubts, and my fears - I feel cleansed and refreshed. While the storms don't last long, the effects on me do. Keeping all of this in mind, this collection was created using the idea of washing away, being submerged, and being wrung out.
