Malbec World Day with Speak Wines

Happy Friday and Happy Malbec World Day! Speak Wines, a local Orange County company bottles 2012 Malbec, a red wine that the company has produced in La Consulta, located in Mendoza, Argentina wine country. Aside from the delicious red wine, the bottles are dressed in the darn cutest labels! Speak Wines founders and friends Stephanie and Kerry curated a collection of quotes and phrases that inspire them and hopefully will inspire others.
They debuted Speak Wines with Collection 1, which includes a series of playful, happy, and quirky labels which reflect the emotions Stephanie and Kerry experienced during the development process of Speak Wines. I want to collect them all, drink the wine, and save the bottles!
I'm looking forward to seeing (and drinking) upcoming Speak Wines collections, and like the fashion industry, the company will release seasonal collections with labels that are influenced by trends and that are meant to speak to you. Get your own bottle ($25 each), or multiple bottles (don't blame you if you want the entire collection) here or if you're located in Orange County, stop by the Wine Gallery in Corona Del Mar.

Anna Sui for O'Neill at Boathouse Collective, Costa Mesa

On Thursday April 2, 2015, Costa Mesa restaurant The Boathouse Collective hosted a celebration of the Anna Sui for O'Neill Collection Launch. Dress forms were dispersed amongst the space wearing pieces from the collection, and guests enjoyed live music, beverages, henna tattoo application, and goody bags. This collection was the perfect inspiration to get everyone in the mood for the Coachella music festival the following weekend and this weekend. There were lots of flowy and knit bohemian pieces, which you can see here along with the lookbook!

Behind the Scenes of a Bridal Boudoir Shoot

I got to be apart of a bridal boudoir shoot for Je T'aime Beauty shot by Kim Le (also blogger for Lace & Locks and owner of Morning Lavender) a couple Fridays ago, and I wanted to share some behind the scenes snaps of all the pretty things the models got to play with (the models wore pieces from Morning Lavender and had hair/make up done by Ting Makeup)! Getting Intimate with Talia Organic Loungewear

You may have seen me style the sweet and soft Talia Lara Racerback dress as apart of my 2015 Coachella Style Series, and I wanted to share other pieces I received from the organic loungewear collection which were made in Peru from the highest quality Peruvian Pima cotton. I styled the matching ruffle Lexi Tank and Laila Shorts with the Lina Cardigan thrown over and worn with knee-high socks; creating the ultimate cozy, feminine, lounge look. I snuggled up in this look on a makeshift pillow haven in a field of wildflowers which was shot by Shawna of Bleudog Fotography. Get these pieces below:

Valley High + Honey N Silk at Coachella

Clothing label Valley High and fashion blogger Stephanie Liu teamed up to host Valley High Presents #HoneyNFriends a Coachella pre-game event at a house in Palm Springs this past weekend. Attendees enjoyed the sunshine; poolside lounging; refreshing VOCO vodka coconut water and munchies, an amazing gifting suite including swag from Valley High, My Jewel Bar, KITSCH, Goldenfaden MD, and Keratin Complex; and a preview of the most current Valley High collection. Sauri FW15 at LA Fashion Council Collection Showings

Known for his signature skate and street style aesthetic, LA designer Kyle Awtry presented his SAURI FW15 collection at LA Fashion Council. The collection was filled with simple denim and chambray pieces, as well as lace layers and loungewear-like clothing. The line was made for 'that every cool girl from Venice to Downtown, skateboard or no skateboard, wants to wear right now'. My favorite piece was the denim maxi dress that had an interesting cut out and neckline. Most of the other pieces were casual with a conceptual touch from Awtry. Pull over jackets and sweatershirts were made a bit more appealing with fabric mixing, but I felt as if some of the bottoms were ill-fitting on the models.
